There are 15 units of competency that must be successfully completed to achieve the qualification HLT47321 Certificate IV in Health Administration. There are 9 core units and 6 elective units.

Note: *This qualification can be delivered through a traineeship model.

This course is delivered through online tutorials, self-study learning materials, and ongoing tutor support and mentoring.

Students must undertake workbook activities and self-paced learning (approximately 16 hours per week for non-trainees and 8 hours per week for trainees).

This course is delivered via online tutorials, one day a week over an eight-month period. 

Alternate duration and delivery schedules may be available depending on individual student needs. Please discuss your individual needs at the Pre-Training Interview.

Traineeships

Work placement will be completed at your place of employment.

Other (Non Trainees)

Specific placement will be arranged to follow the completion of each theory block of units. There are four blocks throughout the course, 20 hours of placement per block and 80 hours of placement in total.

Alpine Institute will organise placement within Alpine Health or other Partner Health Services.

To achieve qualification, the student will need to:

• Successfully complete compulsory practical training and observation in the workplace for a minimum of 80 hours.

• Successfully complete all assessment including Written Assessments, Case Study, Simulation/Observation, Online Quiz and Oral Assessment.

• There is a non-refundable administration amount of $150.00 required to secure enrolment, this amount counts towards your overall course cost.

• This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding to eligible individuals.

Candidates seeking to undertake this course must have:

• National Police Check - on commencement of this course all candidates are required to complete/have a current National Police Check within 6 months.
• Immunisation Evidence - Students are required to provide current immunisation evidence prior to enrolment, i.e. influenza and COVID-19 vaccination in line with current Government Health Department guidelines.
• First Aid Certificate - students must present a current First Aid certificate prior to enrolment.
• Core Skills Profile for Adults - Course applicants must complete a Core Skills Profile for Adults
• (CSPA) test to ensure the required language, literacy and numeracy levels are met for the course.
• Pre-training interview - An interview with education staff is required prior to enrolment.
