First Aid & CPR

First Aid Training can benefit anyone, be it parents, for job requirements, or those who just want to participate in community group activities. Gaining first aid knowledge is easy with our First Aid & CPR courses. Delivered by Alpine Health's experienced nursing staff, our courses are current and relevant to the local community.

HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid - $190

Course Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

The unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Industry standards recommend First Aid training be refreshed every 3 years.

Course Content
  • Respond to an emergency situation (DRSABCD action plan)
  • Apply appropriate first aid procedures (including CPR)
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Review the incident.
Fees

$190 per person

Duration

This course is delivered in a flexible learning style. Participants will be required to complete the online theory and online assessments prior to attending the face to face session (approximately 4 hours in class).

Assessment

To complete the course successfully, the student will need to competently complete all assessment activities including allocated tasks, scenarios and questions.

Certification

At the successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment.

HLTAID009 - Provide CPR - $85

Course Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Industry standards recommend CPR training be refreshed every 12 months.

Course Content
  • Respond to an emergency situation (DRSABCD action plan)
  • Perform CPR procedures, including how to use an external defibrillator (AED)
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Review the incident.
Fees

$85 per person

Duration

This course is delivered in a flexible learning style. Participants will be required to complete the online theory and online assessments prior to attending the face to face session (approximately 2 hours in class).

Assessment

To complete the course successfully, the student will need to competently complete all assessment activities including allocated tasks, scenarios and questions.

Certification

At the successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment.

HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting - $200

Course Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school-age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

Industry standards recommend First Aid training be refreshed every 3 years.

  • Apply appropriate first aid procedures (including CPR)
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Review the incident.
